Five hundred Arhats statues gilding is going on
in Boshan Zhengjue Monastery!

        阿罗汉是声闻乘中 的最高果位名，含有杀贼、无生、应供等义。杀贼是杀尽无明、烦恼之贼，无生是解脱生死不受后有，应供是应受天上人间的供养。
Arhat is the highest level of Sravaka-yana. It has several meanings such as slaying the thieves, undergoing no more birth, and ones worthy of offerings etc. Slay all the thieves of ignorance and afflictions, free from birth and death and undergone no further becoming, and worth offerings from man and Gods.

第27尊 定果德业尊者
The 27th one: Ven. Dingguo Deye

        宣化上人讲过：证到四果阿罗汉的人，他的神通变化是不可思议的，微妙难言的境界。他有五眼六通，又可踊身到虚空中走路、翻觔斗。他可以身上出火，身下出水；上边出水，下边出火。总之，在虚空里他可以有十八变神通。因为四果阿罗汉有神通的关系，所以在佛教里就列为四圣之一：佛、菩萨、缘觉、声闻。
Venerable Master Xuanhua had explained that the supernatural power of the people has reached the Arhat level is incredible, subtle and unbelievable. They opened Five Eyes and Six Supernatural Powers. And they can jump up into the sky and walk in the air and turn the somersault. They can emit flames from the top of their bodies and water from their feet, or they emit water from the top of their bodies and fire from their feet. In general, they can manifest eighteen different kinds of transformations. Since the Arhats have supernatural power, they belong to Four Sagely Realms: Buddha, Bodhisattva, Pratyekabuddha and Sravaka-yana.

        山东省博山正觉寺般若楼二层僧众禅堂，将供奉清净法身毗卢遮那佛、护法韦驮尊天菩萨和五百罗汉圣像。释迦牟尼佛在世时，常有五百弟子随侍听法传道。他们诚实可靠、富有才干，跟随着佛陀，精进修行，弘扬佛法，使佛教延续传播。
Meditation Hall for monastics locates in the second floor of Prajna building of Boshan Zhengjue Monastery, will place holy statues of Pure Dharmakaya Mahavairocana Buddha, Honored Dharma Protector Skanda Bodhisattvaand Five Hundred Arhats. There are the five hundred disciples in the time period of Shakayamuni Buddha who squired the Buddha, learned the Dharma and preached the teachings. They are honest, reliable and talented, followed the Buddha, practiced diligently, promoted Dharma, and continued the Buddhism.

第52尊 解空第一须菩提尊者
The 52nd one, Ven. Subhuti-Top master of Sunyata

        五百罗汉中著名的十位大阿罗汉是佛陀的十大弟子，分别是：智慧第一的舍利弗、神通第一的目犍连、头陀第一的大迦叶、多闻第一的阿难陀、持戒第一的优婆离、密行第一的罗睺罗、天眼第一的阿那律、议论第一的迦旃延、布教第一的富楼那、解空第一的须菩提。
The famous ten great Arhats in five hundred arhats are Buddha’s ten disciples. They are: Sariputra-Foremost in wisdom, Maudgalyayana-Foremost in supernatural power, Mahakasyapa-Foremost in ascetic practice, Ananda-Foremost in teaching hearing, Upali-Foremost in Vinaya, Rahula-Foremost in esoteric practice, Anuruddha-Foremost clairvoyance, Katyayana-Foremost in Dharma explaining, Punna-Foremost in preaching, Subhuti-Foremost in Sunyata.

        五百尊罗汉每尊圣像高1米，供奉功德款：3万元/尊，装金功德款：1.8万元/尊。
